Court of Fountains Townhomes was originally created to be a forty-four unit apartment complex. We were given pre-approval in October 2002. Final approval of the apartment community was given in December 2002.

In early 2004, the goals for the Court of Fountains project changed. We decided that we would pursue a zone change and provide affordable housing for the residents of Merced County. Due to size constraints and easements for utilities, and a proposed widening project of the state highway, we reduced the number of townhomes from thirty-six to thirty-four.
